2012 is the Year of the Dragon.
Frans Stiene is holding a live event in Australia on the 25th January for the Chinese New Year to help you prepare yourself for the Year of the Dragon.
However, Frans would like to give everyone the opportunity to share this special event where ever you are. You can participate from your own home. If you do this you will be asked to do specific practices at specific times.
Frans Stiene, cofounder of the International House of Reiki was recently interviewed by Karuna Reiki teacher and astrologer Curtis Williams on his weekly radio program about the system of Reiki and its origins.
Right from October 2007, I had a deep desire build in me to share Frans’ teachings with all those wonderful people in Cincinnati, where I live. Luckily for me, my friend Zeynep Yilmaz, is, among many many things, a gifted planner and organizer. She and I joined forces to systematically build up awareness, interest, and worked with Bronwen and Frans to set up a Shinpiden training class in Cincinnati, from July 1-3, 2011.
From October 2007 through July 2010, I’ve had the privilege of being guided by Frans in my Reiki practice as it flowered, merged with, and became one and the same as my personal spiritual path. I looked over all the email exchanges and Skype chats with Frans over these many months, and I was shocked to find that I’ve bombarded Frans with dozens of emails. And these emails are no ordinary emails, they are each these massive, 1000+ word bombs (kind of like these posts I’m writing now), each laden with big questions. I’m shocked to see that Frans had replied to every single one of them, and often within 24 hours!
Great to see all your different ideas and comments on our last blog, A question for you about Reiki Treatments, where we posted a question about two different types of hands-on healing sessions. Some thought it too brain numbing, others too easy, and for some - just plain too different from what they’d been taught as Reiki practitioners. Why would we ask this question?
Well, there was a second, unwritten, question in this blog…

Frans’ Shinpiden class in Oct 2007 in NYC was exactly what I needed. All those nagging questions were answered, every last one of them, and in a way that made a lot of logical sense (satisfying my left brain) and a lot of intuitive sense (satisfying my right brain) and just resonated in my heart (the only test that ever matters, in my experience).

By July 2007, I had practiced Reiki for about 6 1/2 years.
My first Reiki teacher was an awesome person, Dr. Susan Verghis, a Reiki teacher in William Lee Rand’s lineage, who I first met in January 2001. I learned all three levels of Reiki from her in Bangalore, India, where she resides. She got me started with this awesome gift of regular Reiki practice, and I experienced amazing healing miracles and much more in my life from 2001 through 2004.
