The Outcome of the System of Reiki

What is the outcome of practicing the system of Reiki?

Is it knowing how to place the hands in the correct spot?
Is it knowing how to chant the mantras correctly?
Is it sitting in seiza for a long time?
Is it knowing how to perform the reiju correctly?
Is it knowing how to recite the precepts in Japanese?

No, it is not about knowing how to place the hands on the correct spot.
No, it is not abut how to chant the mantras correctly.
No, it is not being able to sit in seiza for a long period of time.
No, it s not knowing how to perform the reiju exactly and correctly.
No, it is not knowing how to recite the precepts in Japanese.

We can not perform hands-on healing 24 hours a day, because we have to live our daily life.
We can not chant 24 hours a day, because we have to live our daily life.
We can not sit in seiza 24 hours a day, because we have to live our daily life.
We can not perform reiju 24 hours a day, because we have to live our daily life.
We can not recite the precepts 24 hours a day, because we have to live our daily life.

So, what is the outcome of practicing the system of Reiki then?

It is embodying the precepts in all we do. Through practice we can rest our mind on the precepts 24 hours a day, which means we can lead our daily life in a state of less anger and worry, in a place of being grateful and true to our way and our being, and in a way that infuses everything with compassion and kindness.

By knowing what the outcome is of our practice, we gain a much clearer way of practicing the system of Reiki. This way we can embody the precepts when we talk, walk, sit, eat, sleep, work, play, shop, shit - we can embody the precepts in all we do during our daily life.
