Reiki Journey

For everyone, well-being is a journey. The secret is committing to that journey and taking those first steps with hope and belief in yourself.
Deepak Chopra

The quote above resonated with me when I substituted Reiki Practitioners instead of “For everyone,” and Reiki instead of “well-being.”

For me Reiki is a journey as reflected in the progression of training in Shoden, Okuden and Shinpiden classes. Our commitment to complete the classes and training required is our first steps to believe in ourselves and the path we must follow as Practitioners. As we walk the path we come to the understanding that the journey is continuous beyond our classrooms, as our spirits are infinite.

As we embrace the precepts and practice the mantras and symbols we expand beyond our own individual spirits to connect with the wider spiritual universe around us. Through these channels our spirits are united as one and our sharing becomes a unique source of healing for ourselves and others. We become sensitive to the lives around us whether in nature or the global atmosphere we all share with the various species on the planet. Yes we become more compassionate, because we are living the precepts and are the “Great White Light.”

Our journey is not over because sustaining the Great White Light requires us to continue the practice and living the precepts daily. In our sharing of Reiki with others we are teaching them to honor their own spirits. Through our clients we are training them to receive the subtle teachings of the precepts. Some clients might embrace it so much that they too, become students of Reiki and begin their own journey.

The circle of Reiki is continuous as each one teach, teaches one. The circle is renewed with energy as each one of us progresses to enlightenment. It is an ever flowing circle of light that we all share.

    Yolanda,

I enjoyed your blog and concept of the ongoing journey of Being Reiki. I was also touched because the phrase “each one, teach one” has been flowing through my consciousness as I reflect on my Reiki path and experiences. I just had to comment on the energy of that phrase coming up for both us.

    peace

    Hi Yolanda,
I love the way your words flow.

“An ever flowing circle of light”

The more we remember our inner light the more it starts to flow outwards, like a lamp from which we remove the lamp shade.

    Thanks for sharing your insights.
