Sometimes, as I move forward, my path feels like it becomes clogged: a traffic jam of modalities, movements, and personalities running or dancing along with the promise of Light. I parse and intuitively choose my path, holding on to the idea that all paths are valid and unique, but that mine is for me alone to design. The Shinpiden “stage” - the French word for seminar or apprenticeship – with Frans Stiene in Paris was no exception, though, finally, exceptional.
Many people practice meditation but what is it really about? You hear so many things about what you’re meant to get out of it – it can become really confusing.
Is meditation about getting in a state where nothing matters or are you meant to become fully aware of everything?
This morning I was practising my daily meditation while the rest of the house was still asleep.
Suddenly my 9 year old daughter walks into the room, sees me doing my meditation and calls out “Good morning dad”.
National Reiki Retreat 2008: Discovering Oneness with the Cane-toads
Glorious sunshine, fresh rainforest air and magical ocean views - Mission Beach in Far North Queensland proved to be the perfect location for the National Reiki Retreat, held 14-22 June 2008.
The Retreat kicked-off on Saturday night with Welcome Cocktails (non-alcoholic of course!). We soon got to know new like-minded Reiki friends with the help of Frans and Bronwen’s relaxed nature and generosity.
