Sleeping Dog Farm
Sleeping Dog Farm & Retreat is an intimate gathering place rurally located on the outskirts of beautiful Victoria, BC. On five mountain and valley view acres of organic gardens and fruit trees, we cater to events and gatherings that nourish the body and soul.
Sleeping Dog Farm (SDF) was created with the intention of giving space for people to come together in a safe place to move towards wholeness of mind and body and to work on the healing of personal, community and ecological issues.
SDF aims to be a model of sustainability as they are a certified organic farm, supplying guests with wonderful fresh produce almost year round. The buildings are environmentally conscious: constructed with FSC certified wood from sustainable sources, recycled materials when possible, no VOC paint, and minimal use of synthetic fibres.
It is possible to arrange accommodation with one of our organisers at this beautiful venue.
Shinpiden Reiki Level III courses are available at this venue. The teacher at this venue is Frans Stiene.

From Victoria
Head North on Highway #1 (Douglas Street) until you get to the Helmcken exit. At the end of the ramp, turn right. Turn left on Burnside Rd W. We are at 1506 Burnside W.
From Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal and Victoria Airport
Go South on the Patricia Bay Highway (Hwy #17) to McKenzie Ave. Turn Right at the end of the ramp. At Highway #1, turn right. Drive North on Highway #1 and take the next exit at Helmcken Rd. Turn Right at the end of the ramp. Turn left on Burnside Rd W. We are at 1506 Burnside W.
By Bus from Downtown Victoria
You can catch the Route 14 – Vic General/UVic via Richmond from Douglas and View, or Douglas and Johnson. Take this bus and get off on Helmcken Rd before turning into the hospital. Walk up Helmcken until you reach Burnside Rd. W and turn left. Sleeping Dog Farm is at the first big curve on the road on your right (we have a sign out front), about a 5-10 minute walk from Burnside and Helmcken.
By Bicycle
Hop on the Galloping Goose Trail and get off near Victoria General Hospital on Helmcken Rd. Head on up to Helmcken and Burnside W (heading N/E on Helmcken) and make a left. We are not far from that intersection, look for our sign at the first curve on the right.
