Bronwen has influenced global research into the system of Reiki since the early 2000s through her writing amd research skills. Her down-to-earth manner and natural curiosity have enabled her to see through the numerous myths and inaccuracies that have existed in the system.
Bronwen believes in supporting students of the International House of Reiki in "real" ways and is a driving force behind the student support systems and educative materials provided by the centre. Bronwen's training is not only in the system of Reiki as she holds a Certificate IV in Small Business, Teacher Training and Assessment as well as having worked as a TEFLA teacher in her pre-Reiki life.
Bronwen is based in Australia and since 1998 has trained in the system of Reiki in a variety of countries such as Nepal, UK and Australia. Her teachers include Hyakuten Inamoto, Frans Stiene, Kathleen Prasad and Chris Marsh.
Bronwen has co-founded the International House of Reiki and Shibumi International Reiki Association with her husband Frans Stiene. She has also co-authored with him the critically acclaimed books The Reiki Sourcebook, The Japanese Art of Reiki, A-Z of Reiki Pocketbook, Reiki Techniques Card Deck and Your Reiki Treatment. Bronwen has also recorded the double CD Reiki Meditations for Self-Healing with Sounds True in Boulder, Colorado.
Bronwen and Frans' open, informal style of teaching has been an inspiration for students and clients throughout the USA, Europe, Asia and Australia. Their aim is to provide students with the most comprehensive and up to date information about the system of Reiki as well as a strong energetic connection to Reiki's founder, Usui Mikao.
Bronwen is a member of Shibumi International Reiki Association and supporter of Shelter Animal Reiki Association.
